Morrisonville-Panhandle Consolidation Proposal Fails
A proposition to consolidate the Morrisonville and Panhandle school districts failed in Tuesday's primary.
In order for it to pass, voters in both districts had to approve the proposition. Panhandle voters passed the measure, but Morrisonville voters did not. Therefore, the consolidation will not go forward.
The final numbers were:
Morrisonville voters: 364 YES; 457 NO
Panhandle voters: 755 YES; 203 NO
The two school districts include portions of Christian and Montgomery counties.
