UPDATED: Springfield Police Identify 9th Street Victims
UPDATED January 1st, 2013 2:20 p.m.
Two people were found dead in their home on Springfield's north end Monday afternoon.
Police have confirmed that it appears they're dealing with a homicide. They are remaining tight-lipped about specifics while they investigate, but neighbors told us one of the bodies found was a woman in her 20s who lived here and was in the process of moving to Carlinville. They told us she was six months pregnant.
The Sangamon County Coroner identifies the victims as 24-year-old Larry Grice and 24-year-old Andrea Pocklington. Both are from Springfield.
"There is indications that it is a homicide," Lt. Dyle Stokes said. "We don't have any suspect information at this time. We can't really give any details at all, because of the early phase of the investigation."
At this time, authorities are not releasing the cause of death. An autopsy for the two victims is scheduled for January 2.
