Rainfall Eases Drought Conditions
Recent rainfall over the past month continues to ease one of the worst droughts in decades.
The U.S. Drought Monitor Update released today said the rain has benefited farmers, but came too late to help already damaged corn crops. The moisture may still help soybean crops.
One fifth of the U.S. still remains in the worst two categories of drought--extreme and exceptional. Kansas is still feeling the drought the worst.
